Axtell Village Reminders

Axtell Village Reminders Tree dump hours are Tuesdays 5-7 p.m. and Saturday 9-12 a.m. Please keep your grass mowed - you are responsible up to the streets and around all buildings - no yard waste in trash toters. Help us keep Axtell beautiful! Please use recycling but if containers are full - wait until they aren't! We can only dump them when the recycling center allows and are very grateful for this free service! Please return your water survey included in last months bill or we will be knocking on your door!

Notes from the Principal

The first day of classes for students is Wednesday, August 17th at 8:10 a.m. 2016-2017 School Enrollment Packets will be mailed out on August 3rd. Dated materials need to be returned to the Axtell School office on or before August 12th. We are trying something new that we hope will make access to the Axtell Community School Student-Parent Handbook convenient for our students and parents. Battle of the Books

ESU 11 has announced the books for the 2016-1017 Battle of the Books. This program has students read books from a booklist through-out the school year and complete activities. Students who have fulfilled the criteria then meet one day at the ESU. This past year, students were able to skype with authors and competed on the books they read. Band Camp and Parade Dates

The following dates are set for early morning marching band. Early marching will always be on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:20 a.m. September: 13, 15, 22, 27, and 29 October: 4 and 13 Additional mornings could be added if need be. These dates would be posted on the board and announced daily in class. Rain WILL NOT cancel early morning practices. Your child is responsible for communicating any changes concerning dates. When we march in the mornings your student must wear tennis shoes — no sandals, boots, or any other shoe type------wearing tennis shoes perfects our step style. Back To School Bash

Back To School Bash Join us for a night of fun, food, and fellowship as we celebrate the end of summer. The Junior class will be hosting a back to school bash for students in kindergarten through 5th grade, August 23rd from 6-8 pm. All proceeds go to the Junior class.

Family Activity Pass/Courtesy Pass

Family Activity Pass Family activity passes are available at the office for $80.00. The family activity passes will enable the entire family, including children attending college or living at home, to be admitted to all home regular season athletic events without charge. This will include wrestling and home track events held at the Axtell Track. The ticket will not be accepted for any home tournaments. A ticket will be issued to each member of the family. Ticket holders must present their ticket at the gate. The family activity pass will not be valid for any home tournaments or for home track meets held at some other location.
