Pre-K in December

Pre-Kindergarten kids have had fun creating the bulletin board that goes with our December rhyme. They colored the snow using white chalk. To enhance our grips on the chalk and improve arm movement, the blue paper was taped under the table so the students had to lay on their back to create the snow. The snowflakes above the words were created by using different sizes of q-tips. The students had to count out the q-tips and create a pattern. The final touch was a sprinkling of Glitter. This project reinforced fine motor development, letter sound recognition, and counting. The mice were made by the student cutting out a felt oval and gluing on the facial features.
