Axtell Public Library

Axtell Library Hours Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8-12 Monday through Thursday 3:30-6:00 and Friday 2:30-4:30 Every Third Saturday 9-11 Toddler time on Monday mornings at 10 am. Kids are welcome to come after school to read, use the computers, Wii, tablets, etc.

The Amherst Golf Invite scheduled for tomorrow March 30th, has been postponed to Monday, April 3rd at 10:00 a.m. It will be held at the Prairie Hills Golf Course.

Middle School Science Olympiad Team

Congratulations to the third place Axtell Middle School Science Olympiad Team competing at the Kearney Regional Science Olympiad.We took fifteen students this year and competed in various events. Second Grade News

The 2nd grade performed "The Bremen Town Musicians" for the preschool, Kindergarten, and 1st grade on Wednesday, March 15th.

Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser

The Axtell Volunteer Fire & Rescue will have a "Free Will Donation" Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser on Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 202 East 6th Street in Axtell. There will also be a Helicopter Ride Raffle. Tickets are 1 for $5.00 and 5 for $20. Must be 18 years of age or older to ride. All proceeds go to Axtell Fire and Rescue Department. Thank You for your support.

Village News

Axtell will be holding their annual clean-up day on Saturday, April 29 from 9-12 a.m. for Village residents. Please watch for flyers around town for details and help with our Clean Your Block Party! Axtell tree dump will open on Saturday April 1. Hours remain Saturday mornings 9-12 and Tuesday evenings 5-7. Please purchase dump cards at village office.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes

Post Prom

Post Prom is quickly approaching and we are in need of volunteers. We have a fun evening of inflatables and cards planned, plus plenty of food and drinks. We are looking for adults to supervise the inflatables and the card games. If you would be interested in helping, please call Tonya at 308-830-2522 or Tina at 308-830-2006. Also, Post Prom is now taking donations for the student gifts. Anyone interested can forward their donation to Tonya or Tina at the school. Dinner Theatre

Dinner Theatre Axtell high school students are preparing for the spring performance of Quazimodo by David Koren. The tragedy with jokes is on Friday and Saturday, May 5th and 6th at 7:00 p.m. on the gym stage. Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. Dinner and the show is $10 with the gate admission of $5 for adults, $4 for students, and free for pre-K. Come and enjoy a lovely dinner served by the students followed by a grotesque yet comical show. Student Council Toiletries Drive

The Axtell Student Council, with the help of the Axtell community, hosted a toiletries drive benefiting the Wilcox Food Pantry. The drive brought in 61 toothbrushes, 31 tubes of toothpaste, 37 bars of soap, 72 rolls of toilet paper and a variety of other items. The donations were delivered to the Wilcox Food Pantry on Tuesday, March 28. The Axtell Student Council would like to thank all who donated.

Spring Music Show Attire
