Yearbook Photos Needed

The yearbook staff is looking for your help to make our 2016-2017 annual great! We are in need of additional photos from the following events: JV football, JV volleyball, Speech, Track (Field Events), Choir, Golf, Robotics, and FPS. If you have captured any of these events on camera, we would love to feature your photos! FKC Track Meet

The FKC Girls and Boys Track Meet at Elm Creek that was scheduled for Friday, April 28th has been postponed til Monday, May 1st at 9:00 a.m. in Elm Creek.

Awareness: Human Trafficking

Recently, Sargent Clint Elwood, Troop D Criminal Division of Nebraska State Patrol, spoke on the topic of human trafficking in Nebraska at a counselor's workshop at ESU 11 in Holdrege. Attached is some information on what is going on in Nebraska. Also attached is a link to an article on a conviction in Greeley, CO. Although his trial was in Colorado, he was also conducting business in Nebraska. We'd all like to think that this sort of thing only happens in big cities far from here or in the movies. School Library Books

Now is a great time to start rounding up school library books to get them checked in! Don't be too worried if you see a bill come home with your student in the near future. Box Top Contest

Box Top Contest Deadline - April 21st A candy bar will be given to everyone that participates if their envelope or ziplock bag is marked with their name and grade. The class who collects the most box tops will be rewarded with a Cake/Ice Cream Party in May. Good Luck!!!

100 Days of Preschool

The Pre-Kindergarten class recently celebrated 100 days in school. The group used Dixie cups to build towers with 100 cups. Each student also brought 100 items to school that they had counted at home with his/her parents.

JH Track Concession Helpers Needed!

FCA will be working the concession stand for the JH track meet this Thursday, April 6th. They will open at 2:00 and stay open for the duration of the meet. Helpers are still needed! Please contact Tonya Robinson if you can help out. 308.830.2522

NTV Teacher of the Month

NTV Teacher of the Month Congratulations to Joni Thornburg!!! Joni was nominated by Jenna Marsh for the Teacher of the Month Award. Joni is currently the 5th Grade Teacher and has also taught grades K-4 in Axtell. Congrats Joni!!!

Speech Team

Speech Team members Ayanna Garza (sophomore), Hannah French (freshman), Brenden French (senior), Sara Lundeen (freshman), Mary Lienemann (freshman) at Axtell's Speech Night on Tuesday, March 7th. The Speech Team had a successful season and congratulates Brenden French as he prepares to attend the State Speech Competition held Friday, March 24th, on the UNK campus in Kearney.
