McKenna's Rae of Hope Scholarship

The Kearney Area Community Foundation is proud to announce a new scholarship. The McKenna’s Rae of Hope Scholarship is available to a current, graduating senior from a high school in Nebraska.

Students must be nominated to be eligible for this award.

Criteria for Selection:

1. The candidate is a graduating Nebraska senior or will be entering first year of college.

2. The candidate must live in Nebraska and be a citizen of the United States.

3. The candidate exemplifies what it is to be a “Rae of HOPE”: Helping Other People Everyday

4. Follow up information may be requested from nominee, nominator and/or endorser.

Goal of the Award:

It is the goal of the foundation to recognize Nebraska teens with $1,000 scholarships, not because of what they have accomplished during their high school years, but rather to recognize the type of person they are, the character they possess and how they treat other people. This is a character based scholarship where candidates are identified through a nomination process.

Peers, teachers, coaches, and employers etc. are strongly urged to nominate a graduating senior Nebraska senior that they believe to be living their life as a “Rae of HOPE” - Helping Other People Everyday.

Deadline is April 1 at 5:00 PM.

Nomination form is attached below.
