All Ages Welcome. This is a free program. It will continue on the following Thursdays, July 13, July 20, July 27, and August 3rd.
Read One Thousand Books Before Kindergarten Program.
Anyone with a child who has not started kindergarten can do this program. We will reward your child with milestones along the way. Reading the same book more than once counts each time it is read. No money is necessary to do this program. We will also reward the caregiver/parent for milestones also. Come visit the Axtell Public Library for more details.
On August 3rd, we will have a traveling planetarium from the Edgerton Explorit Center in Aurora, Nebraska here in the late afternoon and early evening. We will be starting the first session at 5 pm. The following sessions will be at 6 pm, 7 pm, and 8 p.m. Only twenty-five people will be allowed each session.
Also on August 3rd, we will have an outdoor movie “Big” being held at Mosaic at the Field east of the Pavillion. There is parking at the Pavillion and then at the northern parking lot on 23 Road. Parking will be limited. Please bring chairs or blankets to sit upon.
We are also having “Words of the Week.” Please come see what words we have and if you can show that you have been using them correctly during the week in the community you will get your name in a drawing for a drink at Kat’s Korner.
We are also learning sign language at the library now. Let’s see how many people/kids can learn some sign language before school starts back up in August.
