Notice is hereby given that the regular meeting of the Board of Education of School District 50-0501 of Kearney County, Nebraska, a.k.a. Axtell Community School, will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022, at 8:00 p.m., in the Axtell Community School Cafeteria, which meeting will be open to the public. Please practice social distancing if you plan to attend. An agenda for such meeting, kept continuously current, is available for public inspection at the Office of the Superintendent. Thank you so much to all the teams who came out to compete in the Axtell FFA Tug a War Contest and help raise funds for wildfire relief in Nebraska! A special thank you to Fox Fit for letting us use your rope. In the youth division the winning team was the Blue Team and in the adult division the winning team was the Black Sheep.

The FFA officer team spent Thursday and Friday at COLT (chapter officer leadership training) Conference. Students learned more about their office positions, networked with other students and started planning for the upcoming year.

Thirty-four members of the Axtell staff competed in the Axtell Appalachian Trail Challenge by joining a team and competing for miles earned through health and wellness activities. Congratulations to team Fruity Pebbles made up of Ryan Ambrose, Mandy Strolberg, Tina Peterson, Tonya Robinson, Tina Silvers, and Kelli Nickel for winning the challenge by going the most miles!
