NOTICE OF SPECIAL BOARD MEETING
AXTELL COMMUNITY SCHOOL
Notice is hereby given that the governing Board of the Axtell Community School
District 50-0501, located at 500 Main Street, Axtell, of Kearney County,
Nebraska, will hold a special board workshop to review, discuss, and plan issues
pertaining to the Axtell Community School. Such meeting will be held at 6:00
p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at the Joy’s Table in Kearney, NE, and
will be open to the public. This meeting is for discussion purposes only and no
official action on any agenda item will occur. An agenda for such meeting, kept
continuously current, is available for public inspection at the Office of the
Superintendent.

Due to county roads conditions. Axtell Community School will use pick points for both AM and PM routes tomorrow Monday, January 23. A 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM we will drop off and pick up at Funk School, Bethany Lutheran, and Riverside Trailer park next to McConnell. Thank you!

5th grade’s student of the quarter is Ryder Billups! Miss Kirschenmann is so proud of all of your hard work second quarter! She is very impressed with your effort and dedication to homework & activities and for always asking for help when unsure. Way to go the extra mile, Ryder!

Reminder of the altered bus routes today. Busses will be at Funk School, McConnell, and Bethany at 7:30 AM. Busses will drop off students at 2:45 PM at the same locations. Please notify the school office if your student will be absent.

Axtell Community School WILL be in session on Friday, January 20 at our regular time. The Village of Axtell requests that no students park by the tennis courts. Please park at the swimming pool parking lot. Altered bus routes will be announced later this evening.

Axtell School will have altered bus routes Friday. Busses will not run on the gravel roads. Busses will run on paved or highways only. There are 3 pickup points, McConnell, Funk School, and Bethany Lutheran at 7:30 AM. Parents, please call the school if your student is absent.

Axtell Community School will not be in session on Thursday, January 19 due to the winter storm and current road conditions. No activities will take place. Stay home and be safe.

Junior High boys and girls will be traveling to Loomis for basketball today. The first game starts at 1:00 and the rest will follow. Beat the wolves!

Axtell Community School will be closed Wednesday, January 18 due to the winter storm. More details concerning Thursday will possibly come later.

Due to a conflict with District FFA, we will be moving the JHBB games with Hi-Line to Thursday, Jan 26. Games will begin at 3:00, with A girls/b boys, followed by A boys/b girls. The JV games will follow.

The Arapahoe game tonight will be moved forward due to impending weather. JV games will start at 3:30 with girls and boys varsity to follow.

IMPORTANT: Game times have been moved up for tonight's contest with Arapahoe! JV will begin at 3:30, girls varsity at 4:45 pm and boys at 6 pm. Go Cats! #WildcatWay
